The AUSTRALIAN SCOUT MEDALLION is the highest achievement possible for a Scout and can be compared with the Queen's Scout Award for a Venturer Scout or the Baden-Powell Scout Award for a Rover.
The Australian Scout Medallion is awarded when a Scout:
- earns their Adventurer Cord;
- participates in a Leadership Course; and
- participates & demonstrates their leadership skills in a Scouting Activity.
The Australian Scout Medallion is a medallion that is worn around the neck on special occasions. There is a cloth badge for the uniform and that badge is worn through the Scout's remaining time in Scouts and also while they are in Venturers.
The badge is presented at a trrop night as soon as a Scout hes achieved the award. Following notification to the Scout Commissioner
, The Medalion is presented at a suitable activity of the Scouts choosing where they may invite those who have assisted in the achievement.
The certificate is presented at a ceremony at the end of the year.
